Day 88~ Last three chapters of Rev and we're done!

After reading about all the tribulation and death, it sure is nice to get to the happy ending!!

How cool- “God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them.” (21:3)  Can you imagine?  The same God that freaked out all the Old Testament people to the point of wanting to die, the same one who, just being in His presence made Moses too bright to look at,…will now be the one to “wipe every tear from their eyes.” (21:3)  That sounds so tender and sweet!

But sadly there will be those who will miss out on the tender side of God.  A whole list is given of those who won’t be in heaven (21:8). Most are obviously evil & shouldn’t get to experience God’s glory- you know- the vile, murderers, sexually immoral, etc.
But there is one, to me, that doesn’t seem down right evil; the cowardly.  Being a coward is evil? Did you notice that the cowardly are separated from the unbelieving?  That means they believe that Jesus is the Son of God, but they are to chicken to admit it out loud in fear of losing something.  What I need to remember is that Jesus said, “Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it.” (Luke 17:33)  and  “But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father In heaven.” (Matt 10:33).
Jesus wasn’t kidding!
Also, the writer of Hebrew writes “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Rom 10:9)  In God’s eyes, being a coward, not standing up for Him, not confessing with your mouth…is evil…and it is worthy of eternal punishment. 😳

If only cowards could see and understand that the “Tree of Life” (22:2) promised to all, is so much better than what they have now!

Well, that’s a wrap!  Thanks for reading with me!  I hope it was a high light of your day, everyday.  God bless you as you continue to Walk With Him!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!☃️
