Day 60-Galatians 4-6

“You were running a good race.  Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth? (5:7)
Paul likes that race analogy!  He used it earlier in ch.2 and in his letters to the Philippians and Timothy.  Paul says to Timothy, “I have fought the good fight, I have kept the faith.” (4:7)
Here, in Galatians, Paul is appealing to these brothers to get back in the race.  “Finish strong!” (as we say in our house), or like the old adage, “It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.”

I loved all of chapter 6 and especially vs 9.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Paul is doing his best, as he closes this letter, to cheer these contenders (and us) on to the finish line.
“Stand firm” (5:1), “live by the Spirit” (5:16) and “do not give up” (6:9) on the faith that you have!!!
“ The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.” (5:6)

Keep that faith until to the day you die.
