One thing I like about reading the N.T. straight through, is that I am able to remember things that I may have just recently read and put 2 and 2 together from the reading.
For example, Mark 7 talks about Jesus freeing a girl from a demon because of her mother’s faith (7:29) and healing a deaf and mute man because his friends begged Jesus to heal him (7:32). All this took place in Tyre.
Tyre…..wait a minute, I just read something about those people…..Oh, yea, Jesus talked about them in Matthew 11:21. In that chapter Jesus was denouncing “cities in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent.” Apparently, he did a lot more miracles in Koran, Bethsaida and Capernaum.
This reminds me of when John says, “Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.” (John 21:25)
There is so much more in todays reading I would like to comment on….but I would love to hear your comments!
